Effective Ways to Introduce a New Product over the Web
August 31, 2010 by publisher · Leave a Comment
When your online business has a new product and you want to effectively introduce them to the people, you should learn some strategies to make sure that you reach your target market. This can be done through Internet marketing. A lot of information is available over the web as references to Internet marketing but you should exercise care in relying on these write ups because some of them lack concrete evidence to prove their point. Here are some of the effective ways for you to introduce your product over the web:
Make Use of Articles
One of the best ways to introduce a product is by writing a review about it. Put your writing skills into good use and write an article for potential customers to use as reference. You have two options to disseminate information about your product: first, you can post them on your website or second, submit your composition to article directories. Just make sure you provide a link at the bottom of the article for people to be able to follow.
Promote Your Product from Outside Your Site
You can promote your product on other websites like in social community websites, blogs and forums. You can actually dedicate one whole page for the product you are trying to promote in order to give the people full information about your product and what it has to offer. This strategy gives you access to more potential market as well, and makes your product and your business widely known.

Three Basic Strategies for Link Building (Part 1 of 2)
May 27, 2010 by publisher · Leave a Comment
Getting your website to the top of a Google search result is the holy grail of all SEO efforts. One of the factors that contribute towards this is Page Rank. A good page rank will see you catapult over your peers and end up high on the results page. So how do you achieve a good page rank?
Well, one significant factor of PageRank is your link building strategy. Using the correct one effectively will bring about near instant results. There are three basic methods which you can employ, but only one of them is truly effective, but more on that later. The three methods are Reciprocal, Three Way and One Way link building.
Reciprocal link building has its roots in a time before PR and SEO became known. It is based on the old adage “you scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours”. Basically it is the process where you link to another site and they link back to yours. In the old days, this was done mainly to get traffic flowing into a website. Even today it is an excellent tool to generate traffic. But that is all it is effective at doing. In the early days of PR, reciprocal link building worked quite well. But Google got wise to what was going on and changed the algorithms so that this did not affect PR anymore. There is no harm in using it, but just be aware that it will do nothing for you apart from generating traffic.

Why Web Marketing Is So Different From Offline Marketing
October 27, 2009 by publisher · Leave a Comment
There’s a technology surge that has spun a new generation of consumers. You are missing out on a wide spectrum of consumers if you only utilize offline marketing to reach your consumer base. The following gives a brief overview of how web marketing differs from offline marketing.
One huge difference between the two is the response time. When you’re marketing offline you have the ability to personalize your marketing campaign. This method allows customers to put a face with a name. It is during this process that you are able to get a true feel for how consumers may feel about your product or service instantly. Web marketing, on the other hand, requires marketers to wait for a response. There may be emails or invitations that require customer response. This is a less aggressive approach that requires you to wait on customers to reply.
Web marketing is still important, however, because it allows you to reach a larger audience. Offline marketing techniques can help you personalize your efforts, but web marketing can help you reach an audience that you may never access with offline marketing alone. The ability to reach consumers through social media circles, email, and websites allow marketers to grab the attention of customers all over the world. There are no limitations on the customers that you can access through this method. It’s always a good strategy to implement web marketing because it broadens your consumer base. It also allows you to advertise much faster than offline marketing

Choosing a Lead Provider
August 29, 2009 by publisher · Leave a Comment
Having a third party handle you marketing budget is something that will always make you apprehensive. Whatever business you are in, you need your internet lead provider to be on the ball. That is why you need to pick the right partner for the job. If you choose wisely you will have less stress and the choice becomes easier if you ask the right questions. The following are some of those questions.
·How do you do it? – Real internet leads are almost guaranteed sales. This is because consumers do their own research and find the businesses that they want to deal with. So when they end up at a product they like and ask for a callback, you can be sure that they are more than half sold on the product itself. The problem is that not all lead providers do things this way. Sometimes their processes can be questionable, which in turn means you will be contacting annoyed people.
·How long have you done this for? – Longevity is not necessarily the only factor in deciding on a provider; but it does mean that they are experienced and successful. These factors are essential in a provider to whom you are going to give your marketing budget to.
·Do you have a return policy? – No matter how good the lead generator is, the leads will contain some bad contacts. These are unavoidable because competitors often, fraudster and even consumers contribute bad or incorrect data. Although this is annoying, it is not a huge problem and is easily fixed if you provider has good return policy.
·Do you have references? – A standard question you should ask. Talk to their references and find out the issues and problems they have had.
·Are you rated? – Check with the better business bureau on the providers rating. This should give you good reading on the providers performance thus far.

Smart selling tactics (Part 2 of 2)

3. Emotions speak a thousand words – There is a reason why UNICEF shows pictures of children holding guns or of them starving. If they didn’t, a line like “Bad water kills more children than war” would not have even half the effect it does. The whole point is to provoke emotions in people. Emotions are strong motivating factors and using them effectively will have a positive impact on your sales. Work on bringing emotions to your sales copy, images and videos that you use to promote your product.
4. Get rid of garbage – If you want to be successful, sell only good products. Just because you got a contact that can get you 1000 mugs for $200 doesn’t mean that you should grab them and sell them for a decent profit. Check out the products first. Ensure that they are of good quality and design. Then figure out if people will want to buy them. Once you know that you have a good thing in your hands, then you can focus all your efforts in selling them. Remember, it takes very little to destroy a reputation and lot to build it up again. So don’t jeopardize your reputation.
5. Be decent – Don’t spam, don’t do drive by ad postings on forums and social networking sites. In short, don’t do anything that is unethical and annoying. Use the right mediums in the right ways. Uploading a video of a hot artist on YouTube which flashes adverts for your product incessantly throughout the video might seem like a smart idea at first. But it is first of all illegal to upload material which does not belong to you and second of all people will get really annoyed with you and avoid you like the plague.

Smart selling tactics (part 1 of 2)
April 17, 2009 by publisher · Leave a Comment
Hard selling no longer works. Don’t try it and don’t waste your time on it. Ads are everywhere – when you open your newspaper, switch on your computer or TV, when you are walking down the street and in your mail (electronic or otherwise). People are now oblivious to ads and no longer respond to them, unless the ad is extraordinarily creative and provokes interest. Coming up with one of those is nearly impossible for the online businessperson, because they take time and are, frankly, not at all easy.
So what can you do? Switch to smart selling tactics. Attack your customers in different ways; advertise without advertising!
- Sharing is caring –Share some knowledge and build up a relationship with people. This can be through social media, blogs, forums, your own website etc. Make those things into interesting places which people like to come to for advice or information. Make your products visible on these locations but do not hard sell. Let them be there in “oh by the way I have these things too if you are interested” sort of way. As you build up a loyal set of followers they will notice the products you are selling. If you have built up a decent level of trust, your sales will start coming in.
- You’re the one that I want! – Who are you selling to and who do you want to sell to? These are very important questions. The first evaluates who your current market is and the second defines who your market should be. Sometimes you may find that your current set of customers isn’t who you think they are. In this case, it may be time to re-evaluate your approach. There is no point selling an Xbox, for example, with sales copy like “a clever little device that will keep your evenings filled with entertainment”.Unless you are trying to sell to grandparents, this is the wrong approach. Tailor your sales copy to interest your target market and avoid the hard sell angle.

Taking Advantage of Internet Marketing
March 11, 2009 by publisher · Leave a Comment
The Internet has opened a lot of doors for businesses, allowing them to grow and be known worldwide because of the web’s worldwide usability. This advantage and more has led a lot of companies to concentrate in making their businesses known through the Internet. And because of that, a lot of these businesses are starting to promote them and advertise their products over the web. This is called internet marketing.Internet marketing has a lot of advantages, and most businesses are not aware of it. This is why it is important to know these benefits for a business to be able to take full advantage of them. One of the advantages that a business should benefit from internet marketing is the exposure of the company.
It has to be noted that with internet marketing, a business is required to shell out a minimal cost for advertising, and they will be able to reach all Internet surfers from all over the world. This is in comparison to traditional advertising wherein your advertisement and your money is limited only to the country and coverage the media has.Another advantage that businesses should grab when it comes to internet marketing is the evaluation of their advertising strategies for free. Because web surfers are required to click an advertisement, a business could monitor each and every advertisement they have and concentrate on improving those who attract a few surfers. Finally, a business can also assess the success of their campaigns through internet marketing by calculating the amount of traffic that enters their website. The more traffic the website attracts, the better the strategy is.
