Three Strategies to be successful at Email Marketing
October 3, 2011 by admin · Leave a Comment
Email marketing is one of the best ways by which you can sell your products or services. It’s true. Having an effective email marketing strategy matters, and in knowing what your customers want, you can certainly turn out a neat profit in the days to come.
So here are 3 successful email marketing strategies that give you an edge over your competitors:
#1: Personalize your message
Almost every business knows that every customer has specific needs. Understanding this and using this principle in email marketing is also important, as using a person’s name in an email can make a big difference!
Also, sending him information based on his wants keeping his location in mind is what will increase your sales as well.
#2: Track how your emails are being read
If you know how your emails are being read – whether they are opened, clicked or discarded, you’ll be able to understand how your emails are being read and used. This is perhaps one of the most crucial tasks of an email marketing campaign, and is often critical to its success.
#3: Divide your subscriber list into smaller groups
Breaking your subscriber list into smaller groups with common interests ensures that you won’t have to send emails to one and all – and in some cases, have no use for them. When you break them up into definite lists, this will ensure that you only send relevant messages to each of these groups. This will result in a greater response to your emails, and could translate into sales as well.

In order to establish this, you will have to find out what you competition offers and then make a plan that does give you that unique web position that is so integral for success.
Mistake #2: Inadequate Market Research
Knowing what your customers need is perhaps one of the simplest ways by which you will be successful when it comes to having a business of your own. For this, you will have to conduct market research that should give you clues as to which product matters most, and which one will sell.

Facebook is Testing Tailor-Made Advertising System
April 4, 2011 by publisher · Leave a Comment
A new advertising system is being put in place by Facebook which placed ads directly related to the content in the form of status updates and Wall Posts that are currently being shared by users. This new marketing strategy that aims to tailor ads according to the user’s interests as Facebook has joined up with internet companies that markets products or services based on the user’s online activity at that time.
For example, if you add a comment on the University of Connecticut Huskies men’s basketball team and the NCAA basketball tournament, you can be sure to find ads that are related to UConn athletic gear and a perhaps even a travel company endorsement from the University of Kentucky basketball team, the latter being rivals to the Huskies.
And if there was any doubt that this was being implemented, all doubts were laid to rest when a Facebook spokeswoman announced that this new system of real-time ads are currently being tested, and if it wasn’t clear why, it was also revealed that since most Facebook users are very explicit about their interests in the form of Wall posts and updates, this information can be used to show them ads of products that might be of interest to them.
However, this kind of technology is not new as it is currently being used by Microsoft, Google and Yahoo, and while it has not yet been revealed how long testing will take place or whether this will be available to all users, you can be sure that these ads will be useful to its users in the future.

March 24, 2011 by publisher · Leave a Comment
If you are interested in web marketing, there are a few principles that hold the water in any circumstance. And while there are several Do’s and Don’ts that have been theorized for web marketing success, a shorter list of five principles should be enough to get you started.
So here are the five principles related to successful web marketing:
Law #1: Dead End Street
While you might have an excellent product or service to offer, the truth is that without a proper web marketing plan, the success of the website that you might have developed ends up nowhere. Yes, if your content is not compelling enough, people will forget you very easily.
You must give visitors a reason to come, and then they will buy whatever you have to offer.
Law #2: Giving and Selling
One popular practice when it comes to commerce conducted over the Web these days is to offer visitors something for free while also making an attempt to sell something while they visit your site.
Law #3: Trust
Before you begin marketing your product over the Web, you have to make sure whether your product or service is competitively priced and is of good quality. Once you are sure of this, then you can expect to establish an excellent reputation after which you will not have any problem attracting customers to your site.
Law #4: Pull and Push
Again and again, the primary driver for people to visit your site is to write compelling content. Once you have attracted (pull) people to your site, then you should also follow it up by sending (push) quality information about your product or service by email.

Web Marketing The Right Way
January 31, 2011 by publisher · Leave a Comment
Web marketing is a much different animal than traditional marketing. If you are new to it and just jump in without doing the proper research you are bound to fail. There are two important aspects to web marketing that make it different and require a bunch of research before getting started.
Many people have their web site done before they even start to learn about web marketing. This probably means that you have a “search engine friendly” site instead of a “search engine optimized” site. It is important to research SEO, or search engine optimization, before releasing your site to the public. Having an optimized site could be the difference between being listed on the first page or the tenth page on Google. Always be sure your pages are rich in interesting content, and set up a company blog to discuss things related to your niche.
Another really important thing for web marketing success is social media. Having a business presence on both Facebook and Twitter at least is of utmost importance. Make sure to post regularly, and make your posts interesting and useful to your potential customers to build trust and make it more likely that they will buy from you. Link your Facebook and Twitter pages with your company blog if possible.
When starting the web marketing journey, it is good to be well prepared. Remember also to stay active, as the search engines love fresh content. With a little hard work you will be a successful web marketer soon.

Email marketing to grow business online
November 24, 2010 by publisher · Leave a Comment
Growing a business online entails taking advantage of all the options available. One area of Internet marketing that all online business should have is email marketing. It is one of the most inexpensive forms of Internet marketing there is, with huge potential for getting good return on investment. They key to email marketing is building a list of potential and present customers and then creating an email campaign that they will find useful and enticing enough to make purchases. However, there are some things to look out for to make email marketing viable.
First is the incidence of spam. Almost all email service providers feature anti-spamming software, which automatically identifies emails that are irrelevant and transfers them into a person’s Trash folder. They key to prevent an email from being labeled spam is to ensure a healthy subject line without spammy keywords. These would include, but not limited to, the words “sale”, “discount” and “free”. The design of the email campaign itself has to be reader-friendly, and should grab the attention of a reader within a span of three seconds.
Another thing email marketers must ensure is putting an unsubscribe link in their emails. A customer has every right to opt out of the emailing service any time of the day, at any point of the interaction. It is also required that email campaigns be sent specifically to persons who have voluntarily signed up to receive emails. It is also highly recommended to limit the frequency of sending emails to subscribers to prevent them from getting fed up, leading to unsubscribed.
